‘ What is Obvious is Not Always, The Ultimate Truth ’

Study Report by:Harbans S Nagokay.
There is famous Hindi saying that ‘Hathi ke dant dekhane ke aur khane ke aur’ means ‘Elephant has two set of teeth-one to show off and the other to chew with’ on the same analogy at one side Pakistan Govt. spreading news stories of their plan formulations to tackle jihadi’s by way of sending clear-cut instructions to their financers for immediate end to their funding’s etc. And on other side, both Sharifs of Pakistan (PM Nawaz Sharif & Gen. Rahil Sharif) giving strong messages to Indiasaying Indian Govt. as war-crazy government of Narendra Modi, and threatening like any misadventure would be responded befittingly and accusing India on crossing all limits of atrocities upon innocent Kashmiris, the world should take notice of this, and support Pakistan for freedom fight on Kashmir.
Confusion is here at this side also, where in the midst of campaign by Marathas across Maharashtra for reservation in government jobs and educational institutions, the ruling BJP of Maharahtra, today said it was committed to meeting the demand of the community without upsetting the existing OBC quota.A resolution seeking to provide reservation to the Maratha community was adopted on the second day of the party’s state executive meeting in Mumbai.According to reports, “BJP will provide 16 per cent reservation to Marathas in government jobs and educational institutions,” However, about reservation for Muslims, there seems no provision for quota on the basis of religion.
Given above, internal politics seeking inquiries / clarifications followed by blame-games and irresponsible statements are otherwise not sounding much pleasing both for Indian forces or Government to tackle thing with extra vigilantly. And, continuous attacks on army camps by Pak sponsored militants’ alongside, constant additions of protests calendars by separatists in Kashmir, are otherwise keeping the regime busy in handling both external & internal issues.
However, PM Modi is seriously not paying much heed on these few undeserved issues and earnestly discharging his service obligations for the growth of our people & sweet society, which not only deserves his immediate attentions but also his affection as well.
While few politicians here in Kashmir, titled L-e-t, Militant Burhan Wani as their loving child but reports coming from ‘GILGIT’ sounds different where protests erupted today in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir with leaders and people alleging that their life has become “living hell” because of terror camps. People in Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Chinari, Mirpur, Gilgit, Diamer and Neelum Valley towns claim that terror training camps have severely affected their life.Protesters demanded that the government and security forces in Pakistan take immediate steps to destroy terror camps.
“Unless these terrorists are not wiped out completely from our soil, unless these terrorists are completely eliminated till the time these terrorists are provided with shelters in our homes till then the problem will not be resolved,” said a protester. The protests further weaken Pakistan’s position as it stubbornly
denies that India carried out surgical strikes last week targeting terror launch pads or staging areas in PoK.
Though, the US State Department recently expressed concern over human rights violations in PoK. And, days after extending its blockade on India’s move to impose a UN ban on Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar, China today called for a stronger global response to curb cross-border movement of foreign terrorists.
But then again, an unexpected statement by special Kashmir envoy of Nawaz Sharif, MushahidHussain Syed was heard as saying’US is no longer a world power. It is a declining power. Forget about it. Syed and ShazraMansab, another Kashmir envoy, are in the US as part of the Pakistani effort to apprise the global community of the current situation in Kashmir and allegations of human rights violations in the valley. And, the remarks of Syed were not recorded on camera, but were heard prominently by those inside the room.
At the end, with normalcy at majority in Kashmir, Karaachi Police recovered a huge cache of weapons from the city on Wednesday, in what is being termed as the largest weapons bust in Karachi’s history. The weapons recovered include Nato weapons, bullet-proof jackets, anti-tank mines, anti-aircraft guns, bazookas, grenades, LMGs, SMGs, rifles and AK-47 assault rifles along with a large quantity of explosives. In addition, Chairman Military Committee NATO, General Peter Pavel, Thursday said the scale of counter-terrorism campaign by Pakistan was quite large with impressive results, and mentioned that the country had shown great progress against militancy in last couple of years.
Between all such statements and news, goodbulletin as social media campaign called “Profile For Peace” has resurfaced, on both sides of LOC-with people posting selfies with a message saying that they do not hate the other country.Started by Mumbai-based ad-filmmaker Ram Subramanian, the campaign invites people “to participate in this campaign, write a similar message on a post-it or a piece of paper, take your selfie with it and make it your profile picture” accompanied by the hash tags ‘Kill Terrorists Not Talks’ and ‘Profile For Peace’.
