To make people aware about the importance of timely vaccination of children, a district level workshop on National Immunisation Day (NID) was organised by Health Department here today
DDC Bandipora, CMO, Deputy CMO, SMO Kashmir, BMOs, Health officers and other concerned participated in the workshop.
On the occasion, the participants were sensitized about the key points regarding preparedness of micro plan 2017 for first phase of immunisation day, which is January 29, 2017.
During the workshop, it was given out that 62180 children in the age group of 5 years have been targeted to be immunised in the district, for which 325 IPPI booths are being established. It was said that for effective and smooth immunization process about 1300 workers from ICDS, Health and Education Departments will be deployed, while as 79 supervisors will supervise overall immunisation programme. Moreover, five mobile/transit teams will also be constituted in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC impressed upon the officers to work in coordination and conduct mass awareness programmes to make the immunization process a success.
