World T20: India to play warm up games against West Indies, South Africa

Feb 16:India will play against the West Indies and South Africa in their warm-up matches for next month’s World Twenty20 as the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced the match timings and warm-up schedule of the T20 pinnacle event.

India will take on West Indies at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 10 before clashing against South Africa two days later at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The men’s afternoon matches will take place from 3 pm to 6:10 pm, while the evening matches will be played from 7:30 pm to 10:40 pm. The semi-finals and the final will be held from 7 pm to 10:10 pm.

Teams taking part in the first round will play their warm-up matches in Dharamsala and Mohali from 3-6 Marchch, while sides featuring in the second round will play warm-up matches in Kolkata and Mumbai from 10-15 March.

The warm-up match schedule is as follows:

3 March: Zimbabwe v local side, HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala; Ireland v Hong Kong, HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala

4 March : Netherlands v local side, Sector-16, Mohali; Scotland v Oman, IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali

5 March : Ireland v Zimbabwe, HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala; Bangladesh v Hong Kong, HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala

6 March : Scotland v Netherlands, Sector-16, Mohali; Oman v Afghanistan, IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali

10 March : New Zealand v Sri Lanka, Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai; India v West Indies, Eden Gardens, Kolkata

12 March : New Zealand v England, BKC, Mumbai; Pakistan v local side, JU, Kolkata; India v South Africa, Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai

13 March : Australia v West Indies, Eden Gardens, Kolkata

14 March : England v local side, BKC, Mumbai; Pakistan v Sri Lanka, Eden Gardens, Kolkata

15 March : South Africa v local side, BKC, Mumbai.
