23-year-old Prithvi Shaw smashes highest-ever first-class score by an Indian opener
Mumbai opener Prithvi Shaw has smashed the highest-ever first-class score by an Indian opener.
The 23-year-old scored 379 runs off 383 deliveries against Assam in their Ranji Trophy match at Amingaon Cricket Ground in Guwahati to set the record. The previous record was held by Gujarat’s Samit Gohel, who slammed 359*(723) against Odisha in Ranji Trophy quarter-finals in 2016.
