Srinagar, [26th May, 2025]. In a major boost to healthcare services in Srinagar, Hon’ble Health Minister Sakina Itoo along with MLA Zadibal today inaugurated three vital facilities at JLNM Hospital, Rainawari — the Electroencephalography (EEG) Lab, Oncology Services, and the Histopathology Lab.
This marks a significant milestone, as JLNM becomes the first District Hospital in Jammu and Kashmir to offer in-house Histopathology services. This facility will reduce the report turnaround time from a month to just 7–10 days, greatly enhancing patient care and easing the financial burden on families who previously relied on private labs.
Health Minister Sakina Itoo was joined at the event by Chief Spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference and MLA Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq, who reiterated the party’s commitment to accessible and affordable healthcare for all, especially for the people of Downtown Srinagar.
Following the inauguration, the dignitaries also visited the Psychiatric Hospital at Badamwari to review ongoing services and engage with healthcare professionals.
