Two persons died in road mishaps in two different districts of Jammu division yesterday evening.
According to the report, one accident occurred at Ratle power project in Kishtwar when a crane fell into the Chenab river whose operator lost control over it. The driver tried to jump from the vehicle to save his life but all his effort went in vain because he couldn’t save himself & lost his life.
After the mishap, the victim was rushed to PHC Thatri where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The JCB operator was identified as Sanjay Saini s/o Ram Ashish r/o Uttar Pradesh state.
Another mishap took place yesterday evening at Chanderkote in Ramban district of J&K inside two-lane Peerah-Kunfer Chanderkote tunnel on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, the victim lost his life due to a collision between a car and an oil tanker.
The victim of oil tanker and car mishap at Chanderkote was Javed Ahmed Khan (56) s/o Gulam Nabi Khan r/o Sazgaripora, Hawal of Srinagar district.
