Udhampur police nabs Rohingya man for illegal stay

The Udhampur police in Jammu & Kashmir on Monday arrested a Rohingya man for illegal staying in a residence in the district.

As per report, a Myanmar citizen living illegally in a house in Udhampur district today has been nabbed by the local police. The cops have nabbed and also registered an FIR against the landlord for renting his room to the Burmese man.

DC Udhampur, Saloni Rai three days ago issued an order in which she gave orders to local people to get their tenants verified within 10 days of time avoiding which police action will be initiated against them.

The Myanmar man has been identified as Mohd Shah Jalal s/o Kamal-uddin.

A case has been registered u/s 188 and Foreigners Act, 1946 of the IPC at Udhampur police station.
