J&K LG Manoj Sinha on Thursday wished people of Himachal Pradesh state on ‘Himachal Diwas.
“Many congratulations to all the people of Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of Himachal statehood day. I pray to God that that Himachal which is blessed with spiritual energy, art and natural beauty always set new records of progress”, LG Sinha said on “X”.
On December 18, 1970, the State of Himachal Pradesh Act was passed by Indian Parliament and the new state came into existence on January 25, 1971. Since then, January 25 is observed as Statehood Day in Himachal Pradesh annually.
