Cattle smuggling bid foiled by police in Jammu

Kathua police yesterday foiled a cattle peddling bid at Jammu’s Lakhan border and rescued 12 bovines.

As per the report, Lakhanpur police post in the jurisdiction of Kathua police station foiled a bovine smuggling bid which was being made through an oil tanker and freed 12 cattle from the possession of cattle peddlers. The bovines were being trafficked to Srinagar.

A case under relevant sections of the law was registered at Lakhanpur police station in Kathua.
