Yuva Rajput Sabha Celebrates Government Decision to End Sarore Toll Plaza

In a positive turn of events, the Yuva Rajput Sabha, which previously led an agitation to remove the toll at Sarore Toll Plaza, is now welcoming the government’s decision to terminate toll collection. The toll plaza, located at Thandi Khui in the Vijaypur area of Samba district, has been a point of contention for the whole Jammu.

The agitations against the illegal toll plaza also gained support from the Kashmir valley.

A few months ago, the Yuva Rajput Sabha actively advocated for the removal of toll charges at Sarore Toll Plaza. Now, with the government’s decision to end toll collection, the Sabha expresses satisfaction and celebrates the outcome of their efforts.

This development brings relief to the residents and commuters who had been affected by the toll charges. The Yuva Rajput Sabha sees this decision as a positive step, ensuring smoother travel and reduced financial burden for the local community at Sarore Toll Plaza.

Expressing joy over removal of Sarore toll plaza, YRS President, Vikram Singh, said,” I deeply congratulate all Jammuities on this occasion”.
“The struggle which we started reached to its conclusion today because of our people who did hunger strikes, faced police lathi-charge & went to jail with us.

“We have gained victory. I want to tell Jammuities that if YRS determines to do something then it won’t step back until it achieves its end.

“Our former president Happy Singh’s strenuous efforts of two years got us holiday on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh. YRS tried for a decade to get a holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh.

“When we came out of prison after agitation the people told us that this a big protest that has held after independence and I want to congratulate Samba district people who supported us”.

“This triumph over termination of Sarore Toll plaza is of Dogras and we will never see a defeat as long as we exist.

“We still remember how YRS Samba district President Sanjay Singh alone stopped the toll collection here. We also remember the day when millions of Samba residents held protests, shopkeepers, DDCs, Panchs, Sarpanchs, who stood against this illicit toll plaza”,
