Doordarshan’s “Avenues of Excellence” series portrayed Central University of Jammu as a centre of excellence. Every year, Doordarshan selects specific universities to film their accomplishments, and this year it chose the documentary film of Central University of Jammu. The Department of Mass Communication and New Media was in charge of producing the documentary film.
With the “Avenues of Excellence,” Doordarshan highlights not only classrooms, but also the entire educational experience of the campus. The series provides an in-depth appraisal of India’s academic ecosystem through open dialogue with academic leaders, virtual campus tours, and interactions with students and alumni.
Furthermore, this programme is extremely valuable for students/faculty because it highlights Indian Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) for educational outreach and information diffusion, thereby taking a step forward in promoting India as a global study destination for students all over the world.
As the “Avenues of Excellence” series takes centre stage on national television, it painted a vivid picture of the Central University of Jammu, complete with unparalleled pedagogy, the establishment of ISRO and DRDO, and world-class infrastructure.
The Central University of Jammu is the first educational institution from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to be featured on national television for the level of excellence it has demonstrated in a short period of time.
