PM to inaugurate, projects worth Rs 32,000 cr today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs 32,000 crore from MA Stadium during his two and half hours long visit here tomorrow.

He will also sound bugle for the BJP’s Lok Sabha election campaign in Jammu and Kashmir which accounted for five seats and the BJP is aiming to get three of them this time as against two in 2014 and 2019, by addressing a rally at the Stadium.

Modi is expected to reach here around 11.30 AM and is likely to return to New Delhi around 2 PM. Inauguration and foundation laying ceremony of projects, distribution of appointment letters, interaction with ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu’ programme beneficiaries and address to a massive rally by Modi are scheduled at MA Stadium.

“Inauguration of projects and laying of foundation besides the interaction will take place through video conferencing,” officials told the Excelsior.

After launching multiple projects, the Prime Minister will address a mammoth rally at the MA Stadium which will signal start of the BJP’s campaign for Lok Sabha elections scheduled for April-May.
