Three coaches of a spare train derailed at Vijaypur Railway Station yesterday evening.
“At around 4:50 PM, one spare train without engine which was standing at Railway Station Vijaypur ran away from its track and started running on main railway track,” a Railway spokesman said.
He said as a precautionary measure, the Railway authorities immediately stopped a Vande Bharat train which was on way from Jammu to Kathua, at Railway Station Vijaypur from 4:50 PM to 5:30 PM.
“After getting track clearance by railway authorities at around 5:30 PM, Vande Bharat train left towards Kathua side,” the spokesman added.
