Pak Army Sends woman Who Crossed Line Of Control

Indian Army and family of Poonch village woman on Wednesday oversaw the repatriation of Shabnam Bi, who intentionally crossed over to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to meet her relatives on Feb 3.

The woman with her toddler has been sent back via Chakkan Da Bagh on LoC in Poonch by the Pakistan army officials.

Shabnam Bi, 24, wife of Ghulam Rubbani had allegedly fled with her 1.5- year-old kid to other side of the border in PoK from Salotri border village of Poonch on Feb 3.

The matter came to light when the distressed woman’s family members registered a missing complaint on Feb 3 at Jhulas police station in Poonch, when they unable to find Shabnam anywhere.

On Feb 4, the brother-in-law of the missing woman informed media that his sister-in-law was in contact with her uncle, who lives in PoK’s Bandi Abbaspur area which touches the Indian side of Poonch’s Salotri village where the escapee woman resides.

He added that she ran away with her girl toddler to her uncle’s house in Bandi Abbaspur of PoK and the woman’s brother told them that he got a call from Dubai, and somebody told him that Shabnam is in Pakistan.
