Ramban: Ramban Police foiled a Narcotics smuggling bid at T chowk Naka and arrested two persons with Charas like substance. While on routine naka checking duty, team of police station Banihal stopped a Van bearing regd no JK02BR-0857 coming from Kashmir towards Banihal for checking. During checking 400 gm of Charas like substance was recovered from the said Vehicle.On enquiry, driver disclosed his identity as Surinder Singh S/O Hans Raj R/O Chakr Bhati P/O Sindra Teh. bhalla Distt Doda and codriver disclosed his name as Amit kumar S/O Darshan lal R/O Choundry Teh Bhalla Distt Doda. In this regard, a case FIR No. 187/2023 u/s 8/20/29 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Banihal and investigation is set into motion. The accused has been arrested on the spot after completing all legal formalities.
