The much-awaited Jammu & Kashmir Assembly elections have commenced today, with voters from various constituencies set to cast their ballots in the first phase of polling.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has called on citizens to participate in large numbers and exercise their democratic rights.
In a post on X, Manoj Sinha especially urged the youth, women, and first-time voters to take part actively in the electoral process. He encouraged them to help set a record turnout and ensure that their voices are heard through the power of their vote.
“J&K Assembly elections commence today. I call upon all the voters whose assembly constituencies are voting in the first phase today to turn out in record numbers & exercise their democratic rights. I especially urge youth, women and first-time voters to vote in large numbers,” the office of LG Manoj Sinha tweets.
