India cricketer Nitish Kumar Reddy had a remarkable outing during the second T20I against Bangladesh on Wednesday, October 9 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. The 21-year-old, who remained unbeaten 16* (15) on his debut in the first T20I, registered his maiden half-century as he walked in to bat at a critical stage for the team.
With India reeling at 25/2, which quickly turned to 41/3 in no time, Reddy showed great maturity to bat through different phases of the game. The right-handed batter first got his eye in during the first 13 balls of his innings as he held one end after the team was under immense pressure.
However, after getting set at the crease, the youngster began attacking spinners and played some breathtaking shots. Reddy brought up his half-century in just 27 balls and even ripped apart Mehidy Hasan Miraz by smashing him for three sixes and a boundary. His innings unfortunately came to an end on 74 (34) as he clobbered four fours and seven sixes.
