“Article 370 and Article 35 A in J&K: Jai Ram Thakur”

November 27: DDC elections are ahead and BJP is campaigning for the same. With regard to opponent parties’ aims, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur told that no one can resume article 370 in J&K. He also appreciated the support the party is getting from the public.

He said “The atmosphere and support we are getting from the public is quite appreciable. I got to see such things in Jammu very less even during the Vidhan Sabha elections and even when I was in student politics. The need of Modiji can be seen in J&K. People now feel the need of work and help on ground level and that’s why taking DDC elections seriously. Gupkar Declaration is a very frustrated community. They are doing the same thing as in Bihar where many groups came together to defeat Modiji but couldn’t and same is going to happen here too. People have seen a lot now and understand everything very well.”

“Article 370 and 35A are related to people’s sentiments. Other parties are saying about resuming these articles but there’s a lot of difference between saying and enacting. People wanted to remove these articles and it happened. All credit goes to Modiji and Amit Shah ji. By this time everyone should understand that no power of the universe can resume article 370 and 35A. What is gone is gone.” He added.

Jai Ram Thakur is campaigning for elections in some regions of Kathua District which are attached to the state of Himachal Pradesh. He expressed that the development in J&K differed a lot from that of HP. Giving example of Roshni land scam; he told that money for development was sent to J&K but went in Politicians’ pockets.

“Development in tourism will happen, which has infact already started after the abrogation of article 370 and 35A. There are many places in J&K which tourists don’t know about. The atmosphere of fear has always acted as a hindrance in tourism here and I’m sure as in HP, J&K will soon see a growth in tourists.”
