Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Under House Arrest

Aam Aadmi Party workers today staged a protest in the ITO area of Delhi to demand the release of CM Arvind Kejriwal from house arrest and also to support the farmers in Bharat Bandh. AAP supporters have accused the Central Government of keeping Arvind Kejriwal under house arrest so that he can’t join farmers in their Nationwide strike.

AAP leader Sourabh Shukla during the protest said that “from yesterday after Arvind Kejriwal returned from the Singhu Border he was kept under house arrest by the Delhi police on the direct orders from the Centre”. He further said that “this protest by the farmers is receiving mass support from all over India which is a great setback to the Central Government. If the center fails to meet the demands of farmers then we will surely see another LokSabha election in the coming months”.

BJP has said that Arvind Kejriwal has become a CM after holding numerous protests and he understands the language of protest only. To which he said “ordering the mayors and the small leaders protest against his house is just a tactic by the BJP government so that Arvind Kejriwal doesn’t join the farmers otherwise if you visit his house you will see that his house is sealed using barricades from all the sides and no party member is allowed to meet him. We have seen senior officials of Delhi police taking food and other essentials to his house. Once the day is over you will not see any mayor or party leader in front of his house”.

The Delhi Government has given full support to the farmers from the first day of protest and is also providing many facilities to the protesting farmers.
