Fresh traffic allowed on J-K highway after clearing stranded vehicles

Fresh traffic was allowed on Tuesday from Srinagar to Jammu after all vehicles, stranded there since Saturday, were cleared on the 270-km-long national highway.

Meanwhile, massive snow clearance operation by Beacon project was going on to clear the highway which connects the Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh with Kashmir. The 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh highway had remained closed for the past three months due to heavy snow and poor road conditions.
