Indian Army jawan martyred in ceasefire violation by Pak in Poonch

An Indian Army soldier was martyred in a ceasefire violation by the Pakistan Army in the Balakot sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Saturday, police said.

Defence Spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand said that Pakistan resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation on the Line of Control in Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir. Own troops responded strongly to enemy fire.

In the incident, Sep Rohin Kumar was critically injured & later succumbed to his injuries, he further added.

Earlier on Wednesday, an Army porter was martyred in an unprovoked ceasefire violation initiated by Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla by firing mortars and other weapons, according to Chinar Corps, Indian Army.
