India’s first-ever private rocket built by Hyderabad startup launched successfully

India’s first-ever privately developed rocket was successfully launched from the ISRO’s spaceport in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, on Friday morning. The rocket, named Vikram-S after Vikram Sarabhai, was built by a four-year-old Hyderabad-based startup Skyroot Aerospace. The rocket carrying three payloads was built in two years using composite materials and is equipped with 3D-printed engines.
