Jammu Kashmir Police foils Bovine Smuggling bid, Rescues 21 bovines.

JAN 11: In an exercise against bovine smuggling Kathua Police, yesterday rescued 21 bovine animals from a big canter at the Lakhanpur border. The bovines were brought from Punjab and to be delivered in Kashmir Valley.

The bovines were hidden behind the boxes of chips and other eatables and the driver also presented the bills of all the eatables but on doubting, the police made a thorough checking and found that 21 bovines were cruelly loaded on the canter.

The bovine smugglers adopt different ways to smuggle these animals. Earlier also such smuggling took place in vegetable carrying trucks or fruit carrying trucks.
