Kashmiri Migrants said, We don’t want to die, Won’t go to Kashmir

Jammu, 19 September, 2022: The ‘All Migrants Displaced Employees Association Kashmir’ on Monday held a press conference to express their grievances regarding the relocation of the PM package employees outside the Kashmir valley.

Talking to the reporters one of their member said that their burning demand is their transfer from the valley to the Jammu region where they don’t have to work under constant fear of life.

“We cannot work in the Kashmir region till the government didn’t provide us a secure infrastructure. We can only stay there if the govt ensures us  that no one among us will lose her/his life there. Why should only one community stay there as a scapegoat”, he allegedly said.

He further said that the govt is pestering  them by saying that they have singed a bond when they applied for the job, according to which the ‘Prime Minister package employees’ cannot be posted outside the Kashmir region.

He added that they cannot imagine to work under life threatening circumstances there and the govt must agree to their demands.
