Pakistani troops continues to violate the ceasefire by firing with small arms and resorting to mortar shelling on forward posts along the Line of Control in Poonch district on Friday, officials said.
The shelling from across the border started in the morning in Balakote sector around 6.30 am, prompting strong retaliation by the Indian Army, a defence spokesperson said.

Earlier, on Thursday evening Pak troops initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by small arms firing & shelling with #Mortars along with LoC in Balakote sector, Poonch district.
Also, on Wednesday Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing small arms & shelling with mortars in Mankote sector of District Poonch.
