Pakistan Cricketer Shan Masood marries Fiancée Nische Khan in Peshawar

Pakistan batter Shan Masood, on Friday, January 20, got married with fiancée Nische Khan in an intimate ceremony in Peshawar.

As per reports, Shahid Afridi, Pakistan’s interim chief selector, and all-rounder Shadab Khan also attended the wedding.

It’s now learned that Masood will host a valima for his family and close friends in Karachi on January 27. Khan’s rukhsati, however, will take place in Karachi.

A number of pictures and videos from Masood’s wedding have gone viral on the social media platforms. During the ceremony, the song ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran was played.

A number of cricketers, including Kamran Akmal wished the 33-year-old Masood on the auspicious occasion.

“Congratulations @shani_official bohat bohat Mubarak ho …best wishes for your happy married life #ShanMasood,” Akmal wrote.

In a recent interview, Masood mentioned that he met Nische Khan in Lahore and called it an “exciting time of his life.”

Last month, fast bowler Haris Rauf also got married to model Muzna Masood Malik. The marriage ceremony took place in Islamabad and a number of well-known personalities attended the wedding.

As far as Masood is concerned, he was named the vice-captain of the Pakistan team for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. Masood was given the role after Shadab Khan missed out due to an injury that he suffered in the Big Bash League (BBL).

However, Afridi reckoned that he shouldn’t have been made the vice-captain after only a decent outing for Derbyshire in the English county circuit.

“Shan Masood should not have been named as vice-captain of the ODI squad. Chairman of the PCB should have taken the captain or chief selector under confidence. He was neither under consideration by me nor by Babar Azam for the first two ODI’s against New Zealand,” Afridi said.

Masood is next set to play in the 2023 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he will play for Multan Sultans under the leadership of Mohammad Rizwan.
