PM Modi wishes nation on Milad Un-Nabi, calls for peace all around

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad which is observed as Milad un-Nabi.

He tweeted, “Greetings on Milad Un-Nabi. Inspired by the thoughts of Prophet Muhammad, may this day further the spirit of harmony and compassion in society. May there be peace all around.”

The festival is the observance of the birthday of Islamic prophet Muhammad which is commemorated in Rabi’ al-awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar.

Milad Un-Nabi, this year, comes a day after the historic judgement in the controversial Ayodhya land dispute case by the Supreme Court in the Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute case.

The apex court gave the disputed land to the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas, recognising Lord Ram — the deity Ram Lalla as a legitimate legal personality. The entire 2.77-acre of disputed property was given to Ram Lalla.
