JAN 29: Road safety month which started on January 18 has it’s awareness going on. Through nakas and checking at various busy spots in Jammu, Traffic Police is making travellers aware about the importance of traffic rules and self safety.
Flyover near Dogra Chowk in Jammu was today guarded by the Traffic Police as they guided the mini buses to stop only at their bus stops. Other vehicles were also prohibited to stop in the middle of the road. A traffic control drive was conducted in order to prevent accidents.
“The mini bus drivers should drive as per the traffic rules. They mustn’t stop anywhere in between to avoid traffic jams. No parking zones should strictly be empty. No one will chalan them if they follow the rules.” said a senior Traffic Police official.
The Traffic Police also helped people to cross roads, maintaining a discipline if driving.
