Women in Kashmir make Tricolour for PM Modi’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement

Zarina, 35, a Pahari woman from Kashmir’s Bandipora area fastens her hands on a machine as she sews Tiranga, Indian National Flag, at a centre run by an NGO (Non-Government Organization) so that sufficient number of flags might be made by August 15 this year to unfurl atop houses in Kashmir to make PM Modi’s nationwide movement ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ a grand success.

“I sew about 10-12 flags a day and have hoisted one atop my own home in Malangam, Bandipora (in Kashmir division of J&K),” Zarina informed adding that for the last about 20 days she along with 14 other Kashmiri ladies and five men were busy in making the Tricolour.
