Jammu, July 29
AICF Smart Girl FIDE rating chess tournament is going on full swing here at Nek Hotel below gumat Jammu. 53 female players from 4 states are participating in it. The event is organised by crown trust under the aeiges of AJKCA and J&K sports council. In this event only female players are eligible to participate. Participating Players include 6 year old to 45 years old.A Player can achieve FIDE rating through this event if he scores required points.
After 5 rounds 3 players Alankrita Sharma, Priya yadav and Sonali Manhas were leading at 4.5 points each. Also present on the occasion were Atul Kumar Gupta Joint secretary AICF and working president AJKCA while Ajkca president Baldev Raj is personally monitoring chess festival. The event will be played under FIDE Laws of Chess under Swiss system and 9 rounds.
Varun Kumar Randhawa of Punjab is chief Arbiter of this event while Arushi kotwal of J&K is deputy Arbiter.
