Helicopter Service Resumes for Vaishno Devi Pilgrims on Katra-Sanjhi Chhat Route

Jammu, Feb 21: The helicopter service between Katra and Sanjhi Chhat, which had been suspended, resumed operations on Friday, allowing pilgrims to reach the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in the Trikuta Hills of Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir.

An official confirmed that the service was restored after weather conditions improved in the morning. The chopper service had been halted on Thursday due to dense fog caused by continuous rainfall in the region.

Meanwhile, the pilgrimage to Bhawan is continuing smoothly, with an estimated 16,000 to 20,000 devotees visiting the shrine daily. Authorities anticipate a surge in the number of visitors from mid-April, following the conclusion of school board examinations across the country.
