New Delhi, May 13: Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is scheduled to brief the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs on May 19 regarding the latest developments in India’s relationship with Pakistan.
The committee, chaired by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, will receive an update on the recent escalation, which included Indian strikes on terror targets inside Pakistan and several days of intense military exchanges before both sides agreed to cease hostilities.
Misri has frequently kept the committee informed on key foreign policy matters, including regional affairs involving countries like Bangladesh and issues concerning India’s diplomatic ties with Canada.
