Iranian State Media Reports Fifth Missile Wave Launched at Israel

June 24, 2025
Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, Iranian state media has reported that a fifth wave of missiles has been launched toward Israel. The barrage marks a significant escalation in the ongoing hostilities between the two nations, following a week of intense military exchanges.
According to Iranian broadcasters, the latest wave targeted “strategic sites” inside Israel, though no specific locations or damage assessments have been officially confirmed. The missile attack reportedly occurred shortly after 6:00 a.m. local time.
This development comes just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that a cease-fire was imminent, a statement that neither Tehran nor Tel Aviv has validated.
In response to earlier waves of missiles, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had activated its air defense systems, including the Iron Dome, and issued public alerts across central and southern Israel. So far, Israeli authorities have not issued a formal statement on the fifth wave.
Earlier, Iran’s Foreign Minister hinted that military operations would end if Israeli strikes ceased by 4:00 a.m. Tehran time. However, the continuation of missile launches suggests that either the cease-fire terms were not honored or hostilities have resumed due to fresh developments on the ground.
With tensions spiraling, regional airspace remains restricted, and international stakeholders are urging restraint.
