Pattan, June 25, 2025 — In a significant step towards improving public transportation and enhancing urban mobility, the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Pattan, Javid Reyaz Bedar, today inaugurated the much-anticipated Smart City Bus Service connecting Trauma Hospital Pattan to Pathachowk. The launch event was held near Trauma Hospital and was attended by local officials, community leaders, and a large gathering of enthusiastic residents.
The initiative, undertaken under the broader vision of urban development and smart mobility, aims to offer safe, reliable, and efficient transport services for the people of Pattan and surrounding areas. With the increasing demand for modern public transport infrastructure, the launch of this smart bus service comes as a welcome relief for ladies free services and relief for commuters, students, patients, professionals, and senior citizens.

The newly launched service includes state-of-the-art buses equipped with GPS tracking, CCTV surveillance, and digital fare systems, ensuring passenger safety and convenience. The route from Trauma Hospital Pattan to Pathachowk has been strategically chosen to serve a large section of the population, making key stops at major public facilities, marketplaces, and educational institutions.
Residents of Pattan expressed their joy and gratitude to MLA pattan javid Riyaz Bedar for his proactive efforts in bringing this service to life. “We have long faced transportation issues, especially for hospital visits and travel to Srinagar. This new service is a great relief for us,” said a local shopkeeper.
