In its continued drive against bovine smuggling, District Police Poonch achieved a significant success by foiling three separate smuggling attempts during the intervening night within the jurisdiction of Police Post Behramgalla.
Acting on specific inputs and as part of routine naka checking at Chandimarh, the vigilant team of Police Post Behramgalla intercepted three vehicles engaged in the illegal transportation of bovine animals under the guise of fake permission documents.

Resident of: Chaktroo, Tehsil Haveli
Bovines Rescued: 05
Through this prompt and effective action, a total of 18 bovine animals were successfully rescued.
In this connection, three separate FIRs have been registered at Police Station Surankote, and further investigation is underway to identify and apprehend any other individuals involved in this illegal trade.
District Police Poonch remains committed to maintaining law and order and reiterates its firm resolve to continue stringent action against bovine smuggling and other unlawful activities in the district.
