LG Manoj Sinha on Wednesday on the occasion of Block Diwas visited Kot Bhalwal area of  Jammu and interacted with the local people.

“Deeply touched by the overwhelming public response on Block Diwas at Bhalwal. This Jan-Bhagidari campaign to strengthen participatory governance is empowering citizens, generating awareness about responsibilities & ensuring accountability of officers in administration.

“I am equally thrilled about the massive & historic participation of people in Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. I am confident that 100% saturation of all schemes will remove developmental imbalances and give a tremendous boost to local economy.

“People need to take initiative with dedication and determination to make their panchayat clean, liveable, 100% literacy rate, maintain green spaces and 100% saturation of all govt schemes. This sense of commitment & duty will improve quality of life & pave the way to prosperity.

“Urged people to assist Civil Admin & Police to intensify crackdown on drug supply chain to make their Panchayat Nasha-Mukt. Former PRI members’ suggestions & genuine demands to be considered in planning of District Capex Budget.

“Poor & underprivileged have the first right on govt resources. Efforts are being made towards promotion of Dogri & other regional languages, connecting remaining panchayats with road, boost industries, religious tourism & tapping the potential of Agri & Allied sector.

“Besides central govt’s schemes, UT administration is running more than a dozen self-employment schemes with an objective to provide resources and requisite training to youth to start their own business. This could be a game changer both in urban and rural areas”, LG Sinha said on X.
