J&K police launches ‘Pink Police Patrol’ to secure women

The J&K Police Department have launched a special patrol unit which particularly aims to provide safety/security for women. The first Pink Police Patrol, a unique initiative inculcates positive relationship between the police and the society at large was introduced in Jammu city on Wednesday.

The Lieutenant Governor govt flagged off first Pink Police Patrol which focuses on ensuring the safety and security in Jammu, keeping in view the raising crimes against women in Jammu.

The Pink Patrol vehicle is fully operated by female staff and is totally equipped with communication devices. Its main aim is to provide additional assistance to women and to observe activities such as eve teasing.

This initiative will enable women of Jammu to take active functioning in ensuring their own safety with the safety of their community.

The victim girls or women can call on these distressed numbers of Pink Patrol unit of J&K police ‘01912436867’ and whatsapp number ‘9906310101’ to inform wrongdoing by the perpetrators against them. They cops will likewise visit casualties of wrongdoing against ladies, for aid & assistance.
