Kathua Police while continuing its “War on Drugs” putting concrete efforts to eradicate the drugs menace from the society and in consequence District Police Kathua recovered/seized approx. 9.25 Grams of Heroin (chitta) like narcotics in the jurisdictional area of P/S Rajbagh near DPS Rajbagh and one drug peddler was arrested in this connection.
On 23.07.2023 an information received at Police Station Rajbagh that one person namely Talib Hussain @Taalu S/o Alaf Din R/o Karandi near DPS Rajbagh is indulged in illegal smuggling/selling of heroin like contraband and is selling drugs to the youth at Peer Baba near DPS Chowk Rajbagh.Acting swiftly a police team headed by Inspector Tariq Ahmed SHO Police Station Rajbagh assisted by PSI Faizal under the supervision of SDPO Border.
Sh. Dheeraj Singh Katoch-JKPS conducted a raid in presence of Executive Magistrate near DPS Rajbagh at Peer Baba and arrested said drug peddler namely Talib Hussain @Taalu S/o Alaf Din R/o near DPS Rajbagh kathua with 9.24 grams Heroin (chitta) like narcotics.
On this a case vide FIR No. 192/2023 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Rajbagh and further investigation was set into probe.
