Authorities on Saturday (April 27) closed Mughal road as the pathway is full of snow and the weather still needs an improvement so that the vehicular movement can be initiated.
DSP Traffic, Shopian said in a order, a copy of which Gulistan Tv possess, reads “Keeping in view, the inclement weather advisory from MET Department, it is requested to stop the movement of vehicles on Mughal Road from Hirpora onwards. More than 6 Inches of snow has accumulated near the premises of Pir-Ki-gali and is still snowing from Dubjan onwards. Due to this, there is every apprehension of occurrence of slip/slides and shooting stones on the road”
“Keeping in view the above fact and to avoid any untoward incident, you are requested to strictly stop the movement of vehicles till the improvement of weather and clearance of road”, the order further reads.
