It is to be noted that the Jammu region has witnessed a surge in terror attacks in the last three months leaving the citizens in ultimate trepidation as it was only on July 8 this year that four army soldiers were killed and six others injured in a terrorist attack in Badnota area of Kathua.
Taking the sensitivity of the situation into account, top officials from the Border Security Force (BSF), intelligence agencies, and the Police forces of J&K and Punjab convened a crucial meeting on July 11 this year to discuss and develop cutting-edge strategies for border management.
The high-level meeting that was held at District Police Lines (DPL) Kathua focused on innovative solutions to address the evolving challenges of border security, aiming to strengthen collaboration and effectiveness in safeguarding the region.
Since the rise in terror incidents in parts of Jammu has been reported, J&K Police, Army, CRPF and other agencies have been put on alert and search operations have been intensified.
