A mega tiranga rally was organised in Srinagar to portray the strong feelings of patriotism in Kashmiris. The impressive rally was led by Honourable Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

Addressing the crowd, LG Manoj Sinha stated that he could see the image of the mother nation as the rally proceeded, and that a new hope has emerged among the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials reported that thousands of people, including men and women carrying the national tricolour, participated in the rally that commenced at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) and proceeded to the botanical garden along the banks of Dal Lake. Another similar kind of rally was also taken out in the Shikara’s and boats in the mesmerising Dal Lake in which national players participated.

Many government dignitaries including VIPs and other higher officials also participated in the rally that commenced at 5 a.m. from the SKICC. Speaking on this occasion Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi stated that Jammu and Kashmir is the crown of the nation and Kashmiri’s unfurl their flag with extreme happiness especially after August 5, 2019

This ‘Tiranga’ rally is a part of the government’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to encourage people to bring the flag home and hoist it to mark the much adored India’s independence.
Similar tiranga rallies were also taken out in other districts of the union territory during the past week ahead of the Independence celebrations in Jammu and Kashmir.
