In a major success continuing JKP’s #WarOnDrugs offensive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs & psychotropic substances, District Police Udhampur recovered approx 01 Kg 315 Grams of Charas like contraband substance from 02 narcotic smugglers at Chenani nakapoint, NHW.
Police party of PS Chenani led by its SHO while performing routine vehicle checking at Chenani nakapoint. During naka checking, police party stopped one vehicle (Audi Car) bearing registration no. DL8CZ – 9667 for thorough search. During search of said vehicle, approx 01kg 315 grams of charas like substance was recovered from the possession of 02 narcotic smugglers who have been arrested on the spot.
The said narcotic consignment along with the involved vehicle seized.In this connection, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered in PS Chenani and further investigation of the case is taken up
