Theft case solved at Ramkot; 2 arrested, necklaces, cash recovered

KATHUA : In continuation to its tough action against Thieves/Theft cases in the District, J&k Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Ms. Deepika- IPS has solved another theft case in the jurisdictional area of PP Ramkot and recovered Necklaces Worth Approx. 50,000/- alongwith cash amounting to Rs. 10,000/- from the two accused persons who got arrested on spot.

On 17-03-2024 a written complaint was received at PP Ramkot through the complainant namely Vokesh Gupta S/O Om Parkash R/o Gurah Kalyal, regarding a burglary at his Vicky General Store( Cosmetics Shop) located in Gurah Kalyal in which some unknown persons/thieves broke the shutter and stole the money and necklaces worth approx. Rs. 3,00,000.On this an instant case FIR No. 41/2024 U/S 454/380 IPC registered at PS Billawar. Acting swiftly, the police team led by IC PP Ramkot under the guidance of SDPO Billawar and SHO P/S Billawar rounded up various suspects and after sustained questioning, successfully arrested two persons:
1. Murad Ali, S/O Shah Din, R/O Barwal, Tehsil & District Kathua.
2. Hanif Ali @ Nifu, S/O Isham Din, R/O Chack Bhaga, Tehsil and District Kathua
During investigation, both accused confessed their involvement in the commissioning of said crime. On their disclosure, the police team recovered Rs. 50,000 worth Necklaces alongwith Cash amount to Rs. 10,000 from them.
Whereas, further investigation is underway.
Moreover, it is pertinent to mention here that both of the accused persons were also found to be involved in other theft cases in Kathua district.
