Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Kathua organises Hindi Kavita Sammelan

Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Sub Office Kathua in collaboration with Government District Library, Kathua organized a Hindi Kavita Sammelan here today at Seminar Hall of Government District Library, Kathua in which around 15 poets from Jammu Samba and Kathua districts participated in the Kavita Sammelan. The Hindi Kavita Sammelan was conducted under the direction of Secretary of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Sh. Bharat Singh JKAS. The youth, in multitude, participated in the event to witness the grandeur of the literary expression. The Cultural Academy’s effort in promoting cultural sensitivities is receiving applause from the art and culture connoisseurs of the Jammu region.As per the handout, Sanjeev Gupta SOCA, JKAACL Sub-Office, Kathua shared that the Academy is trying to do its best of efforts for the preservation and promotion of the Art, literature, heritage and Culture of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu is very rich in terms of all of it and the motive of the Academy is to take this kind of programme to every house so that the younger generation gets known by its roots. Such initiatives always take the culture to the next level of preservation of the arts. Today’s Hindi Kavita Sammelan was such an example, he added. He further advised the students to develop their perspectives through the experiences of the intellectuals, expressed through their writings.The Hindi Kavita Sammelan was presided over by the senior poet, S. Baljeet Singh Raina.The poets who gave the marvellous poetic performances include Monika Khosla, Dr.Usha Monga, Saroj Bala, Sunil Sharma, Sham Lal Khajuria, Vijay Sharma, T.R.Sumbaria, Dr.Guru Parsad, Khajoor Singh, Shashi Kant Sharma, Sanjeev Bhasin, Baljeet Singh Raina, Shaik Mohd., Romesh Singh and Rajeshwar Singh Raju.The Hindi Kavita Sammelan was ably conducted by the Sahitya Akademi Awardee Sh. Vijay Sharma. Expressing gratitude Sunil Sharma, In charge Government District Library, Kathua delivered the vote of thanks acknowledging the presence of dignitaries, students and the poets.
