10 Booked For Using Forged Documents, Including Two Retired Govt Officials, Cop

Ten people, including two retired government officials and a police officer, were arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s crime section for allegedly deceiving the authorities here by using forged documents, according to a senior officer.

Ten people have been the subject of four distinct FIRs after reports that they used forged documents, according to Senior Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch, Jammu), Benam Tosh.

“Investigations have been started in all the four cases to unravel detailed facts in each case,” he said.
According to officials, a former deputy inspector in fisheries department, a retired forester and a police head constable were among those named in the FIRs after complaints were received that they used fake documents to manage a government job and promotional benefits.

Mohd Farid, a resident of Kathua, was charged with using a forged eighth-grade school leaving certificate to obtain employment in the fisheries department, and Parveen Kumar, a resident of Akhnoor, was charged with using a forged graduation certificate to advance to the position of deputy forester, they said.

They said that Head Constable Mohd Munshi of Rajouri was the subject of another case due to his use of a forged qualification certificate to obtain employment with the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department.
