Rajnath Singh Hoists the 108-Foot Tricolour in Jammu and Opens the Heritage Museum

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh opened a heritage museum in Jammu’s Akhnoor border area and raised a 108-foot national flag on Tuesday, according to a defence spokesperson.

Under strict security, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and senior officers welcomed Singh and the chief of defence staff (CDS). He took part in the Tanda Artillery Brigade’s celebration of the 9th Armed Forces Veterans’ Day event.
The museum displays statues of combat heroes as well as weapons used in various J-K battles.

The defence official further said that more than 1,000 veterans from Jammu, Akhnoor, Pallanwala, Rakhmuthi, Naushera, and Sunderbani are anticipated to attend.
As a unique gesture, the veterans will receive mobility aids like e-scooters, motorised wheelchairs, and autorickshaws.
