A wildlife team in Ganderbal Village captures a Black Bear

Ganderbal: A black bear that had been frightening the residents of Gujjar Basti Watnar, a secluded village in the Ganderbal region of central Kashmir, was apprehended by the Wildlife Department on Wednesday.

After people asked for help, the Wildlife Team successfully secured the bear in a net after it was seen wandering close to populated areas.

According to a Wildlife Department official who verified the operation, “The black bear was creating panic among the villagers, and they had requested us to intervene.

Today, we successfully captured the bear, and it will soon be released in a distant forested area, far from human habitation.”
