Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kishtwar SKUAST Jammu today conducted one day training programme under Front Line Demonstrations on scientific cultivation and management of vegetables in nutri-gardens at Village Galhar Bhatta Block Nagseni of the district. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr SK Gupta Director Extension SKUAST Jammu.
Dr Narinder Paul Incharge KVK Kishtwar, Subash Chander, Member J&K Advisory Board for Kissans, Anil Kumar President Parivartan NGO and 25 Farm Women of the village covered under FLDs on nutri-gardens attended the programme.
During the programme Dr Narinder Paul Incharge KVK Kishtwar stressed upon the participants to adopt the practice of scientific raising and management of nutri-gardens not only for meeting out the household requirement of nutritional vegetables but also for sale locally. He asked for adopting the sustainable and organic practices in the nutri-gardens.
Participants queries regarding insect pest attack, suitable agronomic practices and marketing were also discussed. Organic inputs and bio-fertilizers were also distributed among the participants. Programme ended with the vote of thanks by Subash Chander Member Advisory Board for Kissan, J&K.
