Uri, May 12, 2025: A bomb disposal unit has been deployed to the Uri sector near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir following recent shelling by Pakistani forces.
Shakoor Ahmad, the Lamberdar of Garkote, urged villagers to immediately contact him if they come across any live shells in the area.
Meanwhile, MLA Uri, Dr. Sajjad Shafi, advised residents to stay alert and promptly report any unidentified or suspicious items found near homes or farmland.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the scale of the threat and to ensure no unexploded ordnance remains in the region.
