Srinagar, 15 June :
Cabinet minister Satish Sharma, while addressing the media during the “Pedal for Peace” initiative in Srinagar, discussed the cabinet expansion in Jammu & Kashmir. He stated, “This is the prerogative of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and he has discussed it several times. In the coming days, you will hear good news.”

He added, “Since the formation of our government under Omar Abdullah’s leadership, our primary goals have been peace, prosperity, brotherhood and development.”

On Aam Aadmi Party leader and Doda MLA Mehraj Malik withdrawing his support from the ruling coalition, Sharma remarked, “Mehraj has always supported secular forces. He will always back development-oriented efforts. We will discuss the matter further when we meet him. I believe he will support the current government. What we have experienced, he has seen as well. I don’t think it’s a serious issue.”

Commenting on the situation in Jammu & Kashmir post-Pahalgam attack, Sharma said, “The government is making every effort and running campaigns to ensure the situation remains under control. More importantly, people need to come forward, as they can play the most significant role in maintaining peace and stability.”
